PORT ROYAL MEDICAL CENTER

In 1995, Beaufort Jasper Comprehensive Health Services (BJCHS) requested a space utilization survey and needs assessment analysis. BJCHS was comprised of eight different entities located on four separate sites. A new site was purchased that could house this multi-purpose medical group. The building is 15,000 sf with 76 parking spaces and accommodates the following disciplines: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, Dental / Radiology, Central Laboratory, Pharmacy and a Community Room. The private exam rooms and service functions stack up along the southern elevation, while doctor’s offices and public spaces open to the preserved trees to the north, with the parking dispersed below the tree canopy.
