Wigeon Point Park
Birding Blind-Schematic
Widgeon Point Park was designed with Open Land Trust and Beaufort County to develop this 164.24 acre property into a Passive Park for public use based on a Low Impact Design. Phase I Master Plan was approved by Beaufort County ZBOA in 2010. Phase II was the design and detailing of: a birding blind; renovations to existing barn to serve as open air pavilion; design and permitting for access to upgrade Highway 170 entrance; nature walk and identification of the areas requiring a boardwalk; and designing a port-a-john enclosure was completed in 2018.
