St. Peter’s Catholic Church was built to serve a long established and rapidly expanding Parish. The 24,000 s.f. church was strategically located on existing 32-acre campus. This masonry building was designed structurally for longevity as well as acoustically for a future pipe organ. The main worship hall seats approximately 1,100 people, of which 200 are located in the Choir Loft. A small chapel which seats over 70 people was incorporated for small services. The 130-foot bell tower is designed to compliment the historic steeples of this small coastal village and provide a landmark for the campus and region. River recovered old growth cypress was chosen for the main entry portico, which features three hand carved scenes of the life of St. Peter in heavy relief over the three pairs of 10’ entry doors.
